Sekolah Seri Cahaya, Shah Alam and Sekolah Seri Suria, Hulu Langat are both the flagship schools of the REAL Education Group of Learning Centres with Kindergartens, Primary and Secondary School education. Founded by 3 friends with a common zest for quality private education more than 20 years ago, the same passion has caused them today to be at the forefront and be directly involved in steering their education group towards realisation of their passion. Taking cognisance of the fact that our children are our future, the company's mission is to "Transform Lives through REAL Education". The educational philosophy of the group, REAL is the acronym for "Result Enhancing through Active Learning". It is in line with the philosophy of the group, headed by our founder and CEO, Mr. Sim Quan Seng that teaching is more than just a dispensation of knowledge; it is in fact about the utilisation of knowledge.

What sets us apart from other educational providers is our REAL curriculum which is based on an insistence to change our schools from a 'teaching environment' into a 'learning environment'. This is done via our specialised teaching methodologies which were designed to activate our multiple intelligences. At both our schools, the REAL philosophy is translated into our curriculum, being the national KBSR and KBSM curriculum. In addition, the school has modified the curriculum to include internationally recognised syllabus including the Cambridge syllabus in selected areas to challenge our high achievers. Whilst we motivate and guide our students to achieve academic excellence via our REAL syllabus, seen in the sterling results achieved yearly at the UPSR, PMR and SPM results, we believe that our main task is to constantly challenge our students to attain results one notch higher than their natural ability. "In fact we are proud to state that an 'A' student is pushed to challenge themselves based on the Internationally recognised syllabus including the Cambridge syllabus whilst our 'B' students are challenged to attained an 'A', our 'C' students, a 'B' and so forth" according to our General Manager, Mr. Felix Lee who has with him more than 15 years of experience in private education. In both the schools, tuition is already incorporated into the school curriculum, thereby eliminating the 'tuition' syndrome and problems afflicting teachers in which our Government is seeking to eradicate.

At the REAL Education Group of Learning Centres, our focus does not lie purely in academia as our students are exposed to the other facets of life, true to our beliefs of exposing our children to various learning experiences and environment. Presentation skills as well as oratory skills are also an important component of the syllabuses at the REAL schools along with exposure to music, art and drama. In fact, in line with our continual search for new standards in quality private educate, even our music syllabus has been modified to enable our students to sit for the ABRSM examinations. We would also be putting up a public drama presentation following the English and Bahasa Melayu literature text from next year onwards as this exposure would indirectly educate our children about perseverance, team-work, confidence, public speaking and of course the ability to understand the literature in question in greater depth.

With our specially designed REAL curriculum, our group of Kindergartens is also the first Kindergarten in Malaysia to be certified ISO 9001:2000, a fact recorded in the Malaysian Book of Records.
