A Well-Rounded Student
Paw Pin Pin has proven to be as achiever of a strong interdisciplinary academic background. As a reward to her academic excellence, she is a recipient of a scholarship for being the Best Student for the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR). She processes a well-rounded knowledge in all her subjects such as English, Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics and Science where she has received high merit and honour from Form 1 to Form 5 (2004-2008)
As an energetic student, with a drive for success, Pin Pin won several awards namely English Essay Competition for private schools. Her easy had won 3rd prize on a national level in 2007, and also the yearly Merdeka Quiz Competition where she has managed to come in top position among her peers.
As an amicable person with strong leadership values, Pin Pin was nominated and elected Deputy Head Prefect for Form 1 and Form 2 (2004 -3005). With her proven leadership qualities possessing clear and honest judgmental values, she was promoted to become the Head Prefect of the school from Form 3 to Form 5 (2006 - 2008).
Pin Pin is also an active student in extra co-curricular activities. She has been a committee member of the IT Club in Form 1 and 2 (2004 - 2005) where she contributed her knowledge and interest in computers by assisting her teacher to train other student members of the IT Club various computer applications. She was also the elected as Secretary of the Student Council in Form 2 (2005). Knowing the importance of a balances academic and extra co-curricular activities, she has participate in sporting events such as swimming, badminton and net ball.
With keen sense for the arts, Pin Pin has developed her leadership qualities by organizing various events for the school and also performed traditional Malay dances such as the Tarian Zapin, Kuda Kepang, Lion Dance, Chinese-Fan Dance, Malay Folklore Dramas and many others.
She continues to take the effort by giving back to society. With a strong sense of community spirit, Pin Pin contributes her free time to the Johor Spastic School where she would volunteer her time to play and assist children with Cerebral Palsy. Pin Pin has also participated in the school’s yearly Family Day Fundraising Event where proceeds raised through food stalls, jumble sales and games will be donated to the school’s library and the homes for Special Children and Homes for the Aged.
Pin Pin is a talented, all-rounded student that has an outstanding, excellent academic background which balances a variety of cultural and sporting extra co-curricular activities, while managing to contribute time and effort towards society. Paw Pin Pin is truly a remarkable model of Sekolah Sri Andalas, Johor Bahru.
